Pro Fire Safety Group

One group, two fire protection specialisms

Fire protection splits into two halves. Active systems detect a fire and fight it. Passive protection holds it still long enough for people to get out. Most buildings need both, and we run a specialist business for each.

Active

Pro-Active Fire Safety

Fire alarms, extinguishers, emergency lighting, suppression, fire risk assessments and training. Installed, serviced and certified to the relevant British Standard, with the paperwork that stands up at audit.

  • Fire alarm design, install and maintenance
  • Extinguisher supply and servicing
  • Emergency lighting and three-hour testing
  • Fire risk assessments and warden training

Passive

Pro-Passive Fire Safety

Fire stopping, fire doors, compartmentation surveys and passive remedial works. Survey-led, carried out in occupied buildings, and photographed item by item so the work can be evidenced afterwards.

  • Fire stopping and penetration sealing
  • Fire door inspection, repair and installation
  • Compartmentation surveys and defect schedules
  • Passive remedial works

Why it is set up this way

Active and passive protection are different trades. They use different standards, different materials and different competencies, and a company that claims to be equally expert at both is usually stretching. Keeping them as separate specialist businesses means each one is judged on its own work.

What you get from the group is one office, one point of contact and two sets of engineers who already work together. If a compartmentation survey turns up a problem that belongs to the alarm system, or an alarm service uncovers a breached compartment wall, it does not become your job to coordinate two unconnected contractors.
