Fire risk assessment · PAS 79:2020
A fire risk assessment identifies the hazards in your building, the people at risk, and what has to change. We carry it out, write it up in plain English, and help you act on it.
If you are an employer, or you have control over premises or the activities that take place in them, you have responsibilities under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. It is your duty to ensure the safety of the people in the building.
A fire risk assessment is how that duty is discharged and evidenced. It is not a box to tick — it is the review that tells you what could start a fire, who would be in danger, and what needs doing about it.
Our assessments follow PAS 79:2020 and HM Government fire safety guidance: hazard identification, a review of the control measures already in place, and an action plan that gets you compliant. The report is written to be read and used, not filed.
Five steps, in order. Every one of them ends up in the report.
We work in partnership with you to put the recommendations in place, including training your staff to recognise hazards, follow evacuation procedures and use an extinguisher. For us it is considerably more than a box-ticking exercise.
If the building has changed since it was written, it is out of date. Tell us about your premises and we will take it from there.
