Are you actually based in Berkshire?

We are just over the river, at Unit 3 Globe Estate, Fieldhouse Lane, Marlow SL7 1LW. Berkshire and Buckinghamshire are the two counties we work in day to day, and Maidenhead, Windsor and Slough are only a few minutes away.

How far into Berkshire do you go?

Routinely as far as Reading, Newbury, Bracknell and Wokingham, and down to Ascot and Sandhurst. If you run several sites we will travel further, so it is always worth asking.

How often does a fire alarm need servicing?

BS 5839-1 recommends a competent person services the system at least twice a year, with the responsible person doing a weekly call point test in between. We put the visits on a schedule and remind you before each one falls due.

Do I legally need a fire risk assessment?

Accepted Answer

If you are the responsible person for a workplace or a building with common parts, yes. The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires one and it has to be written down. We carry them out and give you a prioritised action plan rather than a list you cannot work through.
